Overview
Carnival Challenge is great as part of a fun day or outdoor party. It allows guests to get together and work on a project and learn new skills. We will add some music to the final parade to really get the party going.
The Objectives
- Encourage creative thinking and imagination
- Energise team events
- Stress that it is OK to express yourself
- Stimulate creativity and thinking outside the box
- Have fun within the team
- To provide a light hearted opportunity for individuals to vent
The Brief
Teams will be told that they have to create props and accessories for a carnival parade that is aimed at promoting a certain product or theme. They have to put forward an entourage which will included all the team, plus an elaborately decorated Carnival King & Queen, a banner, lanterns and masks for all. They must ensure that the people in the parade clearly are promoting the given theme. Example themes are:
Water
Fire
Mother Nature
Star Signs
Structure
Each team table will have the basics to plan and make some initial designs. They will need to purchase materials from a shop to achieve their objectives. The shop sells large pieces of card coloured paper, fabric, tissue paper, egg boxes, cardboard boxes, crayons, pens, paints, sticky paper, pipe cleaners, straws, glitter, crepe paper and lots more.
The Finale
There will be a Carnival Parade of all the final works of art. The judges will then make their final decision on the winning team. Add some real samba sounds to the final parade with our Upbeat drumming team!
