Overview:
In our Apprentice Challenge, teams compete in a pitch to win business based on an actual company brief. They will be hired and fired along the way by our BIG BOSS and his board members.
The Objectives:
- To encourage leadership
- Understanding the customer
- To create an agency environment for new ideas
- Budgetary control
- To encourage honest feedback from team members at the conclusion.
The Brief:
Each team represents a marketing agency who has been asked to pitch for various projects of a particular company. Products will vary from jewellery, clothing, gadgets, food and perhaps even a new creation put forward by the Apprentices.
Teams must consider budget, target market, unique selling point, scripts and all sales and marketing elements.
The Projects:
- Retail Promotions
- Adverts
- Photo Shoot
- New Product
- Shopping Channel
Leadership:
Each team will have two to three challenges to complete, all with different 'apprentices' leading the way.
The Result:
At the end of the session each team will present their ideas, marketing strategy, strap lines, mission statements, and support materials to the judges. This will be followed by a debrief from the boss and feedback from the teams.
They must be prepared for some criticism as the judges start to sack teams. At the end there will be a winning team and perhaps an individual who really stood out from the crowd … THE APPRENTICE!
